AS most of us know. The original Odyssey had a successor, the Odyssey². But did you know it had a 3rd successor? It was the "Philips Videopac + G7400" (aka Odyssey3)
Now some of you might be thinking, "I never hear of it". Don't be surprised, it was never released in the states. And was only found in Europe. And as I said, under the name: "Philips Videopac + G7400".
Magnavox had planed to bring the Odyssey3 to the United States. But Magnavox later deemed it not advance enough to be a competitor in the market. And the video game Crash of 83' ended any remaining chances of it's release. The Odyssey3 was however demoed at the 1983 Consumer Electronics Show. A few Prototypes of the American Odyssey3 exist still today.
And if the Odyssey3 was released here in the states. It's full name would have been: "Odyssey3 Command Center".
