communism works you know. no one would support it if it didnt. not saying i support it since i dont even give a damn what anyone does, but you shouldnt just believe whatever tv tells you about it. its not like communists were the devils messengers.

make catholicism and other similar religions give up their grudge against safe sex
make cultures like those in india (where there are arranged marriages and couples often will keep spawning babies until they have a boy)
make the world give up its hatred of gays and lesbians so social pressures don't force them to reproduce if they don't want to
make abortion surgery readily available, esp. for people who are clearly unable to care for a child

Wait...I'm not the only one aware of this stuff?

I read 'Peak Everything' by Richard heinberg (?) (he lives in my town) and it talks about how almost everything is or will soon be on the decline. This is why I'm against breeding (well...maybe 1 child but no more) and still say we are screwed.

We had a grain storage that held enough food for the world for 100 days, now, thanks to all the countrys that can't provide their own food but for some crazy reason keep reproducing we are down to 37 days. That is called the 'Ratchet Effect'. Most populations of animals go up and down based on available food, but not people. As soon as people start starving they are given more food and the population increases far beyond what the land can sustain, and then they start starving again. This loop will continue until there is no more food.

Oh ya, the water table. The midwestern united states should run dry of water between 2020 and 2030. A lot of food is grown there. Same for the central valley in California (which might not be as much of a problem if LA wasn't drinking all the water of southern and central cali). Without that food, everyone is going to starve. Fun times, fun times.

Thankfully we're doing a lot with renewable resources.
At least we'll be ok in that regard.

Oh, I forgot:

Ethanol. What the hell? Ethanol. We have to burn an amount of energy from gasoline to get that same amount back in ethanol. All we are doing is wasting corn. Ethanol. I hate you.

The government gives massive subsidies to oil and coal. THis is why renewable energy resources are so hard to introduce. Oil and Coal are more expensive, the government just covers their tab.

Oh ya. Our food process in dependent on gasoline. Mechanized food is inefficient. Hand raised/harvested corn and rice yields 20 calories for every 1 inputted. Mechanized is only 13. Freerange fed beef, 3 to 1. How most america cattle is raised: 1 to 10. America food system: 10 calories input to 1 output.

It doesn't work.

It works on paper, but every country that's tried has failed. Although the idea of everybody being equal is certainly very nice, it's impossible.

Communism was what got us out of the Great Depression.

No I don't. I think that people who contribute to more than two children are scum and should be sterilised and shot.

water is not our problem

especially when it takes up almost our whole planet

you're forgetting that the transport and cleaning of water takes time and energy. until the water's returned to the regular flow and is available again, you have to suffer without it

if you use all of the water fast enough, you'll suffer a drought before it comes back
