As someone who hasn't really played the Street Fighter games, I can safely say all I really know is the Hadouken.

This the a stupidest thing to make a poll. Anyone good at Street Fighter knows that you can't have one solid main, because you'll immediately be labeled as a cheap ass unless it's some low-tier piece of turd like Dhalsim or Balrog.

That aside, you know I like to play as Cammy and Bison, since they're my best characters. Sakura and Chun Li, however, are my favorites.

I don't have a "main" per say until you get into the SNK world, and even then I go with a team of three.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight... because outside of Alpha 2 every character is Soooooooo balanced and fair.

Its pretty much standard in any fighting game with single person mode. Anyone who's got a main that isn't in the ****s plays to the characters best moves, usually spamming them.

Once you actually get good at a fighting game, you can make ANY character balance out to counter a combo or special of any other character. Once you start trying to do that, you step out the realm of Newbie and Button masher and actually begin learning the game.

Example, Sakura is fast, has strong Fierces, and is a smaller character. She's essentially top tier in all games. However, a mid-high tier like Sagat, who's a large target and has few range attacks past "Tiger", can lay out Sakura to the ground with his multiple counters and Knee kicks, all reaching around mid to high hits. The majority of Sakura's hits on him would be low, so anyone who uses Sakura could counter her hits with Sagat easy. This is true despite Sakura's obvious advantage in battle.

I say Dhalsim or Balrog are the only mains a person can have in Street Fighter (according to your poll, anyway) because Balrog's moves are too restricted, and Dhalsims too weak, to ever have complete balance by a casual fighting gamer. It truly takes a pro to balance them to people like Ryu or E. Honda.

If anyone can debunk this, tell me. My entire fighting game history reflects this theory, and I say theory because it's been proven countless times.


[Aside from that, it's stupid to make this a poll because there isn't enough slots for all the characters, especially saying you don't know them all. It would take almost 4 topics, and that's a waste of time.]
