Splig is my second game project since Block. In Splig, you control small creatures by clicking them to make perform certain actions. The demo linked to below contains all ten levels of World 1, though my sig indicates that I'm a bit further along than that. Here are a few things you should know:

-This is a mouse-controlled game that requires some precision, so I don't recommend playing it on a laptop.
-Bonuses and Options currently have no function.
-Beating a level with extra Spligs doesn't do anything (yet), so for now it's only good for a challenge/bragging rights
-I don't own any of the music used in this demo - it belongs to Nintendo.
-Some new features haven't been updated in the instructions, namely, the camera is moved with WSAD keys, you can press space to do a "turning jump", and you can press P in-game to save and quit.

KNOWN ISSUES
If a Splig touches a ceiling tile from the side, it will get stuck in midair. Just right click it to solve this. I'll come up with a working solution in the meantime
The sound doesn't exactly loop... smoothly ^^; I really just need to trim the start and end on the sounds to make it work right
Sometimes a Splig will float a couple pixels above the ground, and you can't do anything to them. You'll have to restart if this happens...
If you click a Splig at the top of its jump, you can make it jump infinitely.
If you find anything else please let me know about it

If you are using Vista, I recommend choosing "Demov.rar", otherwise "Demo.rar" should work fine.

I've spent quite a bit of time on this, so please let me know what you think.

Like the original graphics
Like the mechanics
Like the puzzels

Smallish bugs: sometimes the spligs lose their...gravity? and they can't step on the arrow pads even though they can walk over it, and sometimes they get stuck in walls at odd times

Other complaint is the sixe of the spligs, it wouldn't hurt to make them a little bit bigger for clicking

Other than that, nice so far

It's Pretty fun, but I think the Spliqs jumping isn't really polished though. It's kind of hard to explain...the way they start falling down after jumping isn't really "realistic". They go up, then after a certain time they start falling down instantly. Hope that made sense...And the black Spliq turns into a green Spliq when it goes into the Spliq hole, might want to fix that. Props for the original graphics though.

EDIT:You're welcome, but I forgot to mention your game is seriously lacking sound. As for gravity, you could always copy and paste off the platform examples jumping code and edit off that...mabye...

Do you think you could explain this glitch a little more? I've never had that happen...

That's strange, I've already expanded their clickboxes to 5 pixels in each direction... :(
Oh well, I'll expand it again.

Yeah, I understand. I just used alarms for going straight up and down (gravity never works right for me...) I'll be sure polish it up.

B... bork! I totally forgot to make a new sprite for them! Thanks for noticing, nice eye.

Thanks for your comments

I don't really know how to explain the glitch where the spligs can't touch the arrows after walking over them, other than that the problem arises after clicking on the splig lots of times.

Okay, I found it, and I think I see what the problem is. Thanks for pointing that out. (Relatedly, I found another glitch while trying this one: you can make Spligs jump infinitely if you click them at the top of their jump... Try it, it's fun :P)
