Could never really stand SMRPG whatsoever. I merely trudged through some of the game just to see why people put it on such a ridiculously high pedestal, but I was merely disgusted the more I went through it.

just like I could never understand why people put Conker's Bad Fur Day on such a high pedestal.

the multiplayer is the only reason I think bad fur day is an enjoyable game but twelve tales looks like it could have been the next banjo kazooie

Banjo Kazooie is miles ahead of twelve tales of gameplay and story IMO.
