they're useful but people get dependent on them and won't even touch a flattened image if that's all they have

hell i only use like 3-4 at most: background, everything else, and another one for lineart or adjustments

I used one layer for my Merpeach drawing and a lot of my other recent ones. I haven't figured out how OC's layers work, so that might be why, but I kind of like it.

Edit: Chirai, it looks a little better. It still kind of looks like her butt is balloon-ish and extends waaay further out than her tail.
