Dry Bones for example has been a theme over 3 times now

And you can't deny that fangames need original backgrounds

you had a load of choices to pick.
espeically those from the RPG's which have been nengelected alot lately.

I don't get it.

Is there some rule that compo entries have to have animation frames or some such?

If so I don't see why we couldn't just make one background that has an animation. It's been done (lightning striking, clouds moving, stars twinkling, water flowing, fire burning, etc).
