To me, Windows 7 appears just like Vista so there is no real difference in me trying out Windows 7 anyway

I'm not really a fan. That said, I probably will upgrade to 7 (legally or otherwise) since I need a 64bit OS to run some of my studio software on and XP64 just doesn't cut it. I tried out the beta and it seemed okay, here's to hoping it has a better release than Vista. --------------------
