Just because you're overweight doesn't mean you don't put thought into how you look. And besides metabolism, there's a lot of reasons why people could be overweight. Nobody's perfect. The world would be extremely boring if it was full of perfect people. Besides, it's really, really shallow to judge a book by its cover instead of its substance. You don't know what people go through.

Text Messaging.

There are some people who have medical problems which cause weight gain, obviously nobody is talking about them (cue somebody disagreeing with me for lolsauce).

I'm talking about the people who eat unhealthy crap all day and then wonder why the **** they look like fatso mcfatcakes. I'm talking about the stupid people who then wonder why they aren't losing weight since they started drinking extra bottles of diet coke to balance things out.

They have a problem too, it's called stupidity.

What about people that aren't EXTREMELY fat but could stand to lose a few pounds and don't care if they're overweight, have good hygiene and a good personality and don't complain about their weight.

Pretty much an archaic saying that has no meaning in my life.

When it's a burn victim alright I'm not judging. When it's fat woman in motorised wheelchair then I'm judging.

Main and only non-negligible reason for weight gain in majority of population: food intake.

Don't really see how that makes a difference.

Text messaging is really handy. Most of the time it's cheaper to just send a quick text message to somebody than it is to call them. It's also quieter, you can do it in the movies or on a train and nobody will notice.

It's useful. I really don't see how it affects you at all though, unless you mean people talking about texting, as was mentioned before. But that's an entirely different thing.

I digress, since I wasn't the first one to say this.

There's nothing WRONG with texting, for me it's the idea that people refuse to call each other when they have plenty of time to talk, but pull out the phone and text instead. Then they complain about having too many rollover minutes, or not getting certain information, or whatever, when just talking to them on the phone adds more understanding to the converstation.

Sure, texting has it's application, just like any type of IM, but it's become such common place it's starting to corrode the idea that you can actually call people to talk.
