He has a conductor hat...
I predict it spirals downwards form here. |
I don't get it. What's with all you people hating a game we know nothing about? Why is it you like boats in oceans, but not trains in fields? And he only seems to where the conductor outfit on the train, from what I've seen. What's wrong with that? The only valid reason I see that everyone shouldn't like this game is because it may possibly play like Hourglass, which is controversially a love/hate style of gameplay. Add that to the Younger Cell-Shade type Link becoming slightly overused, and MAYBE you've got a point. BUT NO. All I hear is TRAINS, TRAINS, TRAINS. Is there a solid reason Trains are a bad thing? Cuz if there is, it went over my head.

Because the sea is cool and contains pirates and you can ride anywhere and find islands and be all happy with yourself.
These are ****ing trains, how can you have open world exploration with trains? Its an oxymoron! You're driving on a track.
Actually when I think about it, they're just showing the bones of the last DS Zelda game, which also didn't have the awesome exploration of Wind Waker.
Basically, make a sequel to Wind Waker ON THE WII, don't dumb it down.

You make valid points. I can agree with most of that, alright.
I just think Spirit Tracks needs a little more info. out. So far we know basically nothing about how it plays, or how the train system works. They could possibly make a game that's too fun to put down.
On a more topic-related matter, I trust Nintendo with Zelda. The games are all extremely diverse from each other, give or take Twilight Princess being an obvious OoT rip. I think the next big title should should just have a lot of time and effort put into it, and the team should really sit at a table and brainstorm what the most innovative and unique thing they can do with our Hero of Hyrule. I think the next one will only be truly successful if they stick with the winning formula and make a game that has no direct sequel-like attributes, but still feels true to it's roots as an LoZ title.
Oh, and a new 4 Swords type game should come out. I love that game.
