spirit tracks doesn't count, I'm talking about the next BIG zelda game.

I want the game to have really dark moments, sure TP was dark and everything (and for the record, not nearly as bad as I've been saying it is), but I want more "WTF" moments. you sorta got those in WW (the undead's were totally ****ed up) but I want to see blood on the walls of some haunted dungeon you found underneath a happy-go-lucky town, goddammit. I want something in the game to scare me as much as the undeads and dead hand did when I first played OoT. I'm not talking "silent hill" scared, but zelda scared -- the scare you get when you get really deep into the game and you see something you totally weren't expecting, something that totally throws you out of the zone. for me the shadow temple in OoT (and the proceeding events) did this, and I want to see this again in the next zelda game.

what about you? what do you want to see in the next big zelda game?

... the hell's wrong with me

oh well, might as well just copy-pasta from the other topic and change it up, because my opinion is the same about Zelda games too:

Zelda is another of Nintendo's primary money makers, and unlike SEGA, they actually seem to be doing quite alright with the Zelda series - they haven't disappointed me for Zelda games, so i want the next one to be just whatever Nintendo decides to produce

Don't really care. I haven't truly enjoyed Zelda since the Wind Waker, plus Miyamoto is said to be directing the next one so it's gonna be really damn good for sure.

One thing I hope for is that Link starts off with the tunic, I hate spending 10-20 minutes in the starting area.

An original idea like the wind waker and majora's mask had, none of that OoT remake stuff. Also miyamoto directing? I hope aonuma is still involved in some way, because he's awesome

I don't get it.

What's with all you people hating a game we know nothing about?

Why is it you like boats in oceans, but not trains in fields? And he only seems to where the conductor outfit on the train, from what I've seen. What's wrong with that? blank.gif

The only valid reason I see that everyone shouldn't like this game is because it may possibly play like Hourglass, which is controversially a love/hate style of gameplay. Add that to the Younger Cell-Shade type Link becoming slightly overused, and MAYBE you've got a point.

BUT NO. All I hear is TRAINS, TRAINS, TRAINS. Is there a solid reason Trains are a bad thing? Cuz if there is, it went over my head.

Because the sea is cool and contains pirates and you can ride anywhere and find islands and be all happy with yourself.

These are ****ing trains, how can you have open world exploration with trains? Its an oxymoron! You're driving on a track.

Actually when I think about it, they're just showing the bones of the last DS Zelda game, which also didn't have the awesome exploration of Wind Waker.

Basically, make a sequel to Wind Waker ON THE WII, don't dumb it down.

You make valid points. I can agree with most of that, alright.

I just think Spirit Tracks needs a little more info. out. So far we know basically nothing about how it plays, or how the train system works. They could possibly make a game that's too fun to put down.

On a more topic-related matter, I trust Nintendo with Zelda. The games are all extremely diverse from each other, give or take Twilight Princess being an obvious OoT rip. I think the next big title should should just have a lot of time and effort put into it, and the team should really sit at a table and brainstorm what the most innovative and unique thing they can do with our Hero of Hyrule. I think the next one will only be truly successful if they stick with the winning formula and make a game that has no direct sequel-like attributes, but still feels true to it's roots as an LoZ title.

Oh, and a new 4 Swords type game should come out. I love that game.

I'm personally looking for a fusion of TP/Majora's Mask

Not GRIMDARK Zelda, but more intuitive.

I'm secretly expecting a TP direct sequel a la OoT > MM, but with the next "big" game I'll just take whatever Ninty throws on my plate because it's most usually good.

on the new Thomas episodes

WITH CGI

there are a bunch of endlessly random placements of tracks and new locations that appear for one episode

so really

don't see why the track can't be random all over the place

Upgradeable weapons. Kind of like the Razor Sword in MM, but with more options and lasts either longer or permanently

Something genuinely original. TP was nothing special, and the wolf really only made the game worse for me.

And I'd also love to see less Triforce/Zelda/Ganon garbage, another side-story that's completely new would be perfect.

It's really hard for them to **** up a Zelda game for me, since I quite honestly enjoyed every Zelda game I played. Some more than others, but really nothing that made me just stop mid-way and never touch it again.

What do I want to see, though? Another console game with the Wind Waker theme. That's about it.
