No, I'm sorry but I do not agree with this at all. If this is what MFGG really wants to head toward, then consider me another leaving old timer. This time for good.

I don't give a rats ass if I'm joked about behind my back or pinned as another nightwing or joey in the future, all I know is that MFGG is probably the most unbalanced and hypocritical forum I've ever been to. It was never this bad, I don't know why you guys still decide to deal with Black Squirrel's or whoever's shpeal, it's ridiculous and completely illogical.

I guess your system really works Black Squirrel. Too bad it won't be long until a new wave of members act differently and then you'll have to fix the rules around ONCE AGAIN. You aren't helping MFGG, you're just making it go through the same cycle it's gone through for three years now.

I hold nothing against you as a member, in fact I think you're a pretty chill person, but as an admin you never should have been one.

well, go ahead, adios, the log out button is quite convenient at this time

OSM, I haven't seen you do a single thing to help this community besides whine and ***** about how great it used to be. I'm pretty sure Black Squirrel's "shape up or ship out" line fits this situation rather nicely -- you're not part of the solution, you're *gasp* actually making things worse by complaining all the time. Black Squirrel's trying as hard as he can to make this forum a better place, why don't you respect that? do you have a personal vendetta against him? do you want the PPP back? do you dislike the new members? is this place too "boring" for you? complaining won't fix anything, bro.

you want to know what would actually help MFFG? don't stir up drama, have fun for once. MFGG's had enough drama, we don't need any more of it.

Oh my god Razz you and I are on the same page for once.

Seriously, a lot of the people complaining about MFGG sucking are the ones contributing to most of the problems listed in the first place. It's like some of you are specifically dropping dishes on the floor for the administration to pick up and clean after you. And while I admit those of us on the mod team could probably pick our nuts up off the floor and just clean up the messes quietly, it gets to be rather frustrating that said "dish dropping" happens at the rate with which it does.

Wait, what's so bad about this again? Why is an admin trying to improve the attitude of its members harming the lifestyle of the older members? If you're not one of the people who flames and spams and harasses other members, do you really have anything to fear?

If you want to be here just to throw insults at the people in charge and annoy other members, then perhaps you should leave.

Sorry if it seems a bit harsh, but it feels like the only people objecting to this are the people who are just here to make trouble.

Edit: I take too long to write posts. :P

yeah, totally. MFGG's been like some kinda cheesy soap opera lately -- members seem to think it's okay to whine and cause drama over things that don't really matter -- and yet they don't realize how disrespectful it is, nor how much it negatively influences the community. I totally respect the moderators for putting up with this **** for so long. I don't know how you guys handle it, seriously.

I can't speak for the others, but for me personally, I just developed a hands-off approach to modding the CCC and the Arts Board. Someone else might pick up my slack, but for me personally, if I look at a topic and by my standards, if I don't think it's extremely bad, I leave it (or I lock it depending on the situation) because I know the members like to do certain things to have fun and I don't really want to get the kind of backlash that previous mods (Joey, Trasher, SP, etc) have received, especially when their hearts were in the right places.

Of course, when it's obvious that there's rulebreaking to the point of obviously being banworthy, I take the necessary action as well.

Well, there have been numerous times where doing the right thing earned me just as much flack as doing the wrong thing, so I just take the middle road and if no one's hurt, I just look the other way.

Probably not the most ideal moderation style, but I don't totally ignore what goes on. I just use cumulative behavior as justification for the warn I give someone the next time they show out.

Man, y'all are so uptight about everything.

Sometimes you need to let go of your buttcheek muscles and simply enjoy stuff. I mean you don't even see the person whose post you're reporting so it's not like you're damaging them physically.

but I haven't changed the rules since August and they're still more-or-less the same as they were a few years ago, just re-written because Yoshiman repeated himself a few times and stuff.

but lord if telling people to stop being rude sets people off then by all means get going. I've no time for dealing with that!

when I was admin I said MFGG didn't really need admins so I wouldn't be doing much admin stuff. Plus I was more prepared to tackle enemies of Yoshiman rather than enemies of my own

aka I was young and stupid.

Bannings should really be the very last option. A big fat verbal warning encourages people to change their ways, and that's often more effective in the long run. You forget that I was somewhat out of the loop while I was a global moderator. Yoshiman organised stuff between him and Jas for the longest of times and I'd lost track of who was even active on the board. So the people I expected would give me trouble when I got promoted kinda... didn't.

I was making statements without the evidence to back it up, except I thought I had the evidence at the time, if you see what I mean. But now that I'm coming up to a year in office I have more of an idea of what's going on.

It's easier for me to do that because I have an English accent already.

Also, I just want to say congratulations Black Squirrel, for proving that you can have the initials BS and be proud.
