Well, well. Circuit City went down in flames and the last stores shut their doors weeks ago. However, the brand might not be entirely dead. Check out CircuitCity.com:

CircuitCity.com is also temporarily closed, although we anticipate the website will reopen in the coming weeks. Please check back for updates.

So yeah, it looks like Circuit City might rise from the ashes just like CompUSA. Too bad this doesn’t mean that 30,000 employees will get their jobs back as the website - if the statement ever pans out - will probably be ran by only a few folks. More as we get it.

Why didn't they just do this in the first place??? At least they are somewhat still alive. But I wonder how long they will last as a online Retailer.

CircuitCity.com

Circuit City is stupidly overpriced. Especially during their "going out of business sale."

can't be as bad as best buy charging $70 for 1GB of DDR RAM (which is like 3-4 times what it SHOULD cost by now)

I was disappointed with Circuit City's going out of buisness sale. They were STILL trying to make me pay full price for target games when they started the liquidation process. How asinine is that?!?!?!

tldr: online stores save so much on overhead because of electricity bills rent heating and water etc

smart move since they had enough money to retain a warehouse

During their going out of business sale, quite a few items were actually marked UP.

Like how dumb do they think people are?
