Ragnarok Online, ROFLMAO WHO STILL PLAYS THIS

Anyone still play? I'm on a 100/100/100 cheese server at the moment, looking for people that are interested in pvp and so on.

I remember back then when it was stated that linking to private server was illegal so I suppose this topic will be more for discussing the game.

Any favorite classes? Any *****ing about class and game balance? Experiences? ****, I just read this topic and I'm getting a nostalgia rush even if I didn't play as far back as a lot of other people (and on official).

Anyway, my main was a full support priest for years, and I never hit transcendant on a low rate server because it'd always die when I was high level ... Another favorite class in general is archer, specifically hunter and sniper.

Man I remember talking to Fanguy and a lot of people from MFGG and becoming friends with them after Hanyou invited me to his server.

It is inevitable, this topic that is.

I have one thing to state about my life in Ragnarok Online.

Traps, lots and lots of traps.

I first played just before the Turtle Island (And therefor the Juno and 2-2 class patches).

Them were some cool times Salad but I've moved on to Wow myself. I don't have the free time to dedicate to both Wow and Ro and still work and not spend every moment awake on an MMO. :<

But we're still cool to talk right? <:)

Haven't played in a very long time, and I've been wanting to really bad (and with friends). Right now I'm too pinned down with work and personal life stuff, but over the summer I can find the time.

Will you still be playing then? :D?

I haven't played since last year, mainly because I couldn't find any good servers to play. (Was aiming for 800+ players with a nice active community, but never found any.)

Hm yeah did that low rate server allow for you to reset your stats? If so, you should of went TU priest and TU'd anubis in the pyramids 4. Or if it was like my other server, you could of made a huge party and went to St. Abbey 1 and Tu'd Zombie Slaughters. (Holy **** why do I remember all this) My favorite class varies on the rate of the server.

low rate = creator(evolved homunculus + acid demo = win). In higher rates the homunculus is useless since they cap the level at 99, unlike the players whom 99+ in all stats.
mid rate= SinX( which can be obtained easily if you grimtooth at juperous)/sniper
high rate= Any strong class(champion/sinx)

And yeah that topic brought back some mad nostalgia. I played on the official RO for maybe a year(this was before 2-2 classes were even made) before hearing about private servers. Everyone used to hang out in payon dungeon and south of prontera. I remember when some of my friends hunted 200+ dead branches, so we could spawn them all inside payon dungeon 1. I swear around 2000 players were all inside payon dungeon 1 during that mob spawn.

hoho I had an embarrassing memory with this aswell, but that was wayyy back in the old days of 2002 when I actually cared about gender in RO.

Also, weapon sprites/updated special effects being added for the first time. People used to actually interact. I love partying. I loved finding random people to party with then eventually joining those random recruits into a guild. Of course now people just solo all the way to level 80+(or don't party at all). Atleast in my last server. Maybe it's because that sense of exploration is gone so now they want to reach 99 asap then pvp only.

Ever since a certain server shut down, I haven't played much.

There's a 7/7/5 lowrate that a bunch of people from my old server moved to, but I really haven't been motivated to play. It also has a tonn of people, and now that Anubis is in, everyone and their sister's mother has a 9x HP, so I'm kind of out of a job.

Ah, good old RO. I remember those days. I never hit a trans class except in high rate servers, and in a low rate I got my monk to 98 then the server went kaput (EuphRO I believe). Then I went and got to like 89 as a sage on a similiar server, and found the enjoyment that is WoE. I would play again but the need to update and download the newest sakray always pissed me off. There was a time where I constantly played on CeresRO, as it was easy to get into a guild and I had loads of friends there (I seem to remember Raie and maybe you Salad might have been there), but I found high rates annoying when the server wouldn't let you teleport to Majos (where at the time, only I went down there in the whole server, got to max level professor in about 5 hours).

Yeah, I don't really like free dungeon warps. Ygg was a great server, and I think I got spoiled by how good their client was (Definitely wasn't bug free, thouhg.), I miss not having to patch sakray. I also miss my 97 High Priest, but oh well. If I do play again, I want to stalk you guys and stuff.

...I have like a 93 Alchemist on a lowrate, but I don't really like that server, it's ridiculously large. (And they have a free warp system so every single town is full of autovenders)

But I hate anything that's not a lowrate. I don't like getting to 99 in one day... ;____;

Plus, I usually play a FS priest and they're fun to mess around with in PVP, but generally useless on high rates because everyone has so much gear/zeny.


I was reluctant to get dragged to 7x, even. I like 3/3/2 more than anything else.

I used to always play on high rate. Level 800 in one night, oh boy.
Ygg was my first low-rate server, and now that it's gone I'm pretty much done with RO, unless a few mfggers want to party it up.

I hate any high/midrate that goes above 99/70

and even then, it just isn't the same when everything seems nearly handed to you on a silver platter

I missed the initial RO rush with you guys, wish I woulda shown up but I never did.


I'm not sure I could get into it now, with less people playing and more people waaaaay ahead of me.

blurf any server that raises the level cap is stupid because there's no more feeling of adventure since you can just kill anything really ****ing easily

As for mid rates I don't mean like LOL LEVEL 99 IN ONE DAY

but more like "I can play it casually with friends without too much dedication and get to 99 in a few days or a week or two"

because otherwise it takes like months of dedicated playing to hit 99 :X
