I haven't been here for a really long time<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'></span>

The demo currently features partners (up to 4 allies) shooting. It's a Shoot-em-up type of game. It has 5 boring missions Runs at 60 fps at 640x480. It is fast paced(?) with simple controls

"Not all the are worked out so keep in mind it will most likely lag on slower computers or become unplayable( objects are rendered over 1,000 pixels off-screen horizontally and about 500 vertically.)" The display engine was changed whether this statement is VERY true is unknown.

"I forgot to mention the soundcard MIGHT be "punished" seeing as though the amount of Sound effects being played at a time is high.(When playing you could press F5 to save F6 to load and F9 to save a screenshot, gamemaker debug things(?)) If played may you tell what you think of the idea at the moment."

F5 and F6 don't work. On my sound card certain tracks do cut off.

In the "load" screen press Z to shoot at campaign and Enter in training and certain Briefs to go on.
PRESS RIGHT ON A CONTROLLER (1) TO USE LUIGI IN CAMPAIGN.

This game is a mess.

The repeating flying noise is annoying as hell. The 'intro' takes forever and at first I thought it was the actual game
The "start training mode?" forces me to press yes
the shortcuts are slow and boring
there are object overlap bugs (the HUD goes below some of the hills in the levels)

solution: remove everything except the main engine. Remove the sound effects.
Then I might actually play it for a while

The flying noise is supposed to be the "natural" engine. The forcing yes part, I realize I needed to do something. There are no real shortcuts until the first level, the HUD is kind of bad as you said. I'll try to put a video because it didn't seem that bad.

Thanks a lot still I would have never realized these things.

even though an engine makes hell of a noise, I don't want to hear that in my games
because its annoying

either lower it or remove it completely

It was alright, even though every time you say "no" during the "Try again" and "play tutorial" massages the game will repeat the question until you say "yes". Having to press 5 to shoot while using the arrow keys to move felt awkward to me but it was fun for a few minutes. I couldn't get passed the first level because Luigi keep dying...love the background in the intro and ingame music, but the gameplay is meh...

I need to add some other game play modes and finish campaign. To keep Luigi from dying, stay alongside and fight with him unless you're leaving him for a cause.
CODE
If you have a usb controller and you push right, Luigi will be off AI and playable, as a partner.
If mission 2 is reached can someone tell me what it's like. This version is an updated version, incase if I missed something in the more recent.

No I haven't fixed the NO question thing.

After some practice, I finally managed to beat the first mission in the updated version. I think the 1st and 3rd levels are way too long, they seem to take forever to complete. I also think you should make it so if one person dies you keep going because having only one character die get you sent to the start make the game harder then it supposed to be. And what changed exactly...? I gave up at the second mission...I couldn't keep everyone alive.

Spoilers:
I like it how you have 4 partners with you in the second mission as it made the game very fun to play. But I think they separate a little too far from each other making it hard to keep them all alive. Espacially Peach and Daisy, Peach goes too far infront of the pack while Daisy goes too far behind to the point you can't keep them both inside the screen. Yoshi and Luigi aren't exactly close to each other as well. They end up like this every time.

And you haven't fixed this glitch, why...? blank.gif Just have the players get sent to the "load" screen after they say "no". I'm a huge Game Maker Newb and even I know how to do this...I love the music though.

I decided to update. The click NO glitch was actually laziness. I fixed that and added the third mission. This demo was made as a time killer and a few tests

Mission 2: Spoilers:
You can see odd balls that heals teammates. It's always advisable to never completely finish the first part of a mission unless you want to skip some levels or take a faster route (not proven in second mission)

If a player wants to join in push right (on a controller) and Luigi will be playable.
