Hi.
As requested by Guinea and Shyguy Grey, I'll be making various pieces of artwork for the CFP with intention of making the instruction manual look more visually active. This topic is for the display of said artwork. I'll be updating this thing regularly with characters, items, locations, etc.
"
But Hatman? What do we contribute to this topic?!"
I'm glad you asked, Bob!
"
My name is Frank..."
Shut it. Members in this topic are free to openly critique the work that's put in this topic. If Wario's too fat [plz], then I'll reopen the drawing and thin 'im up a bit. Of course, you're also free to say things like, "Wow I like this style, Hatman you're astounding, can you babysit my kids this weekend, I've got a poker game." You get the idea, I hope.
"
But what if I wanted to contribute artwork to the official art topic? I can draw good!"Hahahah, I'm sure you can Jimmy, and believe it or not, you're free to!
HOWEVER, a specific condition must be met. You must mimic the style the drawings are made in
as best as you can. I'll help you by instructing you on how to get started, but the rest all comes down to you!
First: I've used openCanvas 1.1, a copy of which I will provide at the end of this post.
Second: Use the following settings when making lineart. Under the pen tool:

Set the pen pressure (top bar) all the way to 0, and set pen size to 6 pixels.
Third: When coloring, make sure you use only 1 color to shade. Only few exceptions will be allowed, like Bowser who has textured, scaly skin. It's usually done to accentuate a complex feature like Bowser's skin or Syrup's curly hair.
Finally: When you're done, post it as a png by saving your work into another program, like paint. Then on openCanvas, go to file and click on "Export Event File", so you can reopen it later if you want to work on it.
Once posted, your work will need to pass a style check, and if it mimics the style I've made for the CFP's artwork, then we'll gladly accept it.
Enough formalities, let's see what we've got down.
Mario Bros:
Hatman ver. 1(Ken Martin ver. 2)

Wario Bros:
Hatman ver. 1(Ken Martin ver. 2)

Bowser and Captain Syrup:
Hatman ver. 1(Ken Martin ver. 2)

And here's openCanvas, for you eager types.
