The bg's by Biggoron on TSR. This is a small style comparison/demo.

Hopefully his weakness is obvious.

after seeing all these good entries I'm not sure mine is worth finishing.

That's the only way to get better though, just keep trying and never give up.

hey captain syrup, its an interesting style but bouldergeist seems to be way out of proportion when compared to the bomb boos.

I like the idea of an RPG style there.

Don't you mean Zelda style?

Added a quick battle entrance animation.

This comp is producing some incredibly impressive stuff

I started my entry, wip obviously.
I think the most "useable" sprite would be a generic one that can fit in with many styles, which sums up this sprite.
Also the sheet is going to similar to WhamBam Rock, from KSS, with the body in the background and the hands in the foreground.

Why does everyone keep giving him sharp and pointy teeth? They're clearly flat in the video.

Why is everyone entering this one?

There's too many good entries in this comp. I'll enter anyway, even though my chances right now are about a million-to-one.

This isn't even near completion yet. Expect a large update ASAP.

Mine is still heavily in progress, but I have final exams starting Tuesday. I don't know if I'll get to finish everything I planned, but I'll at least after I study. I might even work on it some the morning of the 28th if I need to, before my exam, but that's cutting it rather close. Either way, I'll be posting whatever I have done Monday night.

Honestly, everybody just want's to win and make a new competition. Nobody has fun spriting Bouldergeist. This is just what I've thought

The background thing was a good idea, but unfortunately, most people would rather draw animation frames for characters than make single giant 200x200-520x520 landscape images. I'm actually surprised BaB didn't enter that one instead of this one.


And I'm having a great time spriting Bouldergeist. ^_^;

I enjoyed spriting Bouldergeist considering its one of the few boss characters out there with left to no sprites.
