Counter Strike: Source

So after buying this in January and just getting into it now because of a new server, I have to say this game is pretty cool. I mean it has a lot of moments that make people angry, but I like it every now and then, especially playing in a casual manner. I know this game gets a lot of beef for having the most assholes in any Valve game (spoiler: it's true) and the random dying (headshots have a large luck chance and pretty much kill you in one hit depending on the circumstances) but it's alright. I play on a community server so that pretty much explains why I like it, but I frequent deathmatch servers sometimes.

So, does anyone else still play this game? I know I'm REALLY late but eh. I personally like playing with the TMP/FAMAS/Defender/Glock/MP5 though I do pick the traditional guns sometimes. Also GSG9, SAS and Arctic are the best player models.

It's one of those games where you're either really good or you really suck. I'm the latter =/

gungame is the best gamemode

i used to be so ****ing good at that, i was rank 2 on some random server i had favorited

I really should get into gungame; I tried playing it once but the server was running reverse gungame and I got sick of being forced to AWP people in a close-combat map. After that I never really searched for other servers... I'll have to do that someday.

I usually use bullpup.

Other than that it's AK or whatever. Don't really care heh.

normally i just play office,
i use pump shotty most of the time.

I kept getting head shots with that thing last time I played, pretty usefull

Gungame is fun but I just really hate everything else.

I just go spam with my MP5 and it works half of the time. The only thing that ruins the game for me are those little kiddies who think I'm hacking because I got headshots on them.

Yeah little kids on CS are the worst, that's why I play on a server where I know who everyone is. But headshots can be annoying, especially when you die 3 times in a row to them.

The head hitbox is big, so it's normal that you get headshots by the round.

Yeah it's especially annoying when you see someone at a distance and he sees you back so you both hold down mouse 1 and both of you take no damage whatsoever until a headshot suddenly appears and kills one of you.

That almost always happens... when that scenario actually happens because holding down the fire button and just standing there is a terrible strategy.

I played Counter Strike with my uncle a lot back in the day. I've always been really bad at it, haha, but it's fun. Haven't touched it in like.. forever now. I should consider buying CS:S.

Yeah I can aim alright, but the recoil gives the guns a huge spread. That's why people who just hold down mouse1 get mowed down quick by the guy with short controlled bursts.

@Ravan: You should, it's good for taking a break from other shooters especially if you play with people you know in fun, not to be taken seriously maps.
