Yeah I know, I do that. I'm just talking about a certain scenario that sometimes happens and how it almost always ends up.

i just bought this along with some other games

But seriously, here:

Travel with other people. Even if you don't use teamwork your survival rate increases when traveling with 2+ allies with guns who are eager to shoot down enemies. Also the chances of you getting targeted are reduced by the number of people in your group!

Buy full armor. Even if it feels like it hardly does anything it comes in handy. And $1000 isn't much...

All guns have their pros and cons aside from a few weapons.

Just because something is expensive doesn't mean it's the best gun. Get better at using cheap things like the MP5 and the FAMAS.

If you're strapped for cash, just buy full armor and a pistol. You can wreck people if you know how to aim with a pistol. If you're a CT then just buy the Kevlar Vest if you really want to conserve money (most common terrorists use the AK and it's a one-hit kill if it hits the head, armor or not.)

Pistols are semi-automatic (aside from the glock), cheap and are good for all ranges, though enjoy having to mash mouse1 because lol semi-auto (glock has a burst option by the way). SMGs wreck things at close to medium range and use Pistol-type ammo. Rifles dominate at medium to long range but require firing in bursts if you want to hit anything. (Though you can just hold down mouse1 if the enemy is in SMG range.) The Machine Gun is a weapon that is the most expensive and is to be used for laying down suppressive fire for teammates, NOT for attacking Rambo-style. It has the most recoil and weight, but you can use it as an SMG.

Oh yeah shotguns are pretty self-explanatory but unlike other games they are good at longer ranges.

Grenade is for softening enemies. Flashbang affects both sides and temporarily blinds/deafens players, very useful. Smoke is for covering movement and getting past areas.

Don't rush and don't be dumb. Also have some music playing in the background so you'll be pumped and better prepared against surprise enemies, but not so loud that you can't hear footsteps.

Use your radar. Enemies that shoot are temporarily marked in it (this goes for you too). Listen for footsteps.

Walk to conceal footsteps. Crouching make you move the same as walking and improves accuracy but makes you more prone to getting shot in the head.

Aim for the head.

I have more but that's pretty much it. If you want me to talk any more about CS:S just say the word.

I have it primarily for two reasons.

1. You NEED it to play Gmod multiplayer and not see ERRORs everywhere.
2. The mods are kind of fun. Kind of. (Not deathmatch. The phrase "Fire in the hole!" leaves a scar on your eardrum for the rest of the night.)
