Haha, I felt like such a ditz when I opened the game without completely reading the readme and tried playing it like an Exitebike clone.

Nice work Littlink. Really like the winning character art. And the fact that the drivers are actually characters that come to mind when I think of MFGG rather than GenericMemberX.

This game is pretty boring. Since you're mainly looking at the arrows, you miss out on everything else which kind of ruins the point of the game.

Since the game is focused around hitting the arrow keys, there's not really a way to fix that...

You could maybe put "special arrows," and if you hit them all in a row, you get a boost and don't have to hit arrows for a little while. Other than that, I'm not really sure what you'd do.

Bit of trivia for ya: The original game plan was to have a beat play in the background and you would have to press a button on said beat to scoot forward. I felt that was too easy and would kill a combo/scoring system. 8(

Maybe I should think some more about that!

Increase the alpha value on the arrows and such and plop them right in the middle of the screen, moving from right to left. That way you can see the action and the arrows at the same time.

Oh, man I'm so bad at these kinds of games. There's a minigame in Mario Party DS that plays just like this and I'm terrible at that, too...

Anyway, my incompetence aside, it's a fairly decent little minigame! To be honest, the only thing I really don't like is the logo. It looks pretty sloppy in my opinion.

combine the ideas and make mfgg ddr racing (not actually, but in essence)


With simplistic beat and song in the background plus the arrows keys, you could make something really different, and definitely cool.

Like someone said before, there isn't much you can do. My only real suggestion is to make it an actual racing game, or incorporate some sort of button pressing thing that doesn't require you to look at the buttons. Maybe you could have the buttons or whatever part of the track or game, sort of like a quick-time event.

I don't actually think beating the hardest mode is even possible since you have to pause every once in awhile since the arrows aren't easy to tell apart at all.

How about the characters are always moving, and as long as the hit the correct arrow combinations on the track, they'll stay that way. But if they miss, they'll slow down or stop or something like that.

And you'd hit the arrow keys once you drive over them, so you'd have to look at what's coming next.

I could certainly use this in the future but the Gameboy hardware doesn't really image alpha. 8(

It's impossible, you gotta be absolutely perfect and inhumanely fast. The point is you aren't supposed to beat it. It was a joke really.
