PRESTORYThe Mushroom Kingdom's yearly Leaf Festival will be taking place in two days. Princess Peach invited Mario to the castle, waiting for his appearance.
Toadsworth is organizing the festival. He takes a look at his to-do list and gets a shock: NO GOLDEN LEAVES?!? In his panic, he runs to Princess Peach, complaining about the work not being done yet.
Meanwhile, Mario has also arrived. Without thinking, Toadsworth orders Mario to go find some golden leaves. In the fall season of the Mushroom Kingdom, the trees in the eastern woods sometimes carry golden leaves. No one knows why, but they do carry them. So Mario went out to the eastern woods, unaware of what was going to happen...
Arriving at the forest, Mario starts to search for golden leaves. He doesn't even know where to find them, so he just walks deeper into the forest, looking for anything shiny. Since it's night, it won't be hard to find them, he thinks to himself. After half an hour of unsuccessful research, it's getting even worse: Rain. Lightnings. While running back all the way, trying to find a house or something to protect him, he finds an old mansion. It sure looks spooky, but it's better than standing outside and getting wet, or even worse, getting hit by a lightning.
Since he hasn't got anything better to do, he goes inside the mansion. He doesn't know why there would be a mansion lost inside the woods, so maybe it's just a leftover of earlier times, so no one should be living here, he thinks to himself while going from room to room. The lights are flickering, even if Mario doesn't know where they actually come from. Meanwhile, the storm has also stopped. Actually, he should have been on his way out to the forest finding golden leaves again, though he feels that this mansion has something special to it. He enters the next room, which is actually the garden of the mansion. There, he finds exactly what he needed. A tree with the largest leaf he's ever seen. Plus......what the? A GOLDEN LEAF?!?
Could it get even better? He tries to grab the leaf, but.... just as he touches it, it disappears and a golden glow surrounds Mario for some time, until it disappears. Mario decides to go outside. He doesn't know how he's going to tell this to the princess. Also, even more important - where to take the golden leaves from? He's already wasted pretty much time because of the storm. He'd get screwed if he'd take too long to get the leaves. Mainly because Toadsworth's somewhat impatient. On the other hand, the Leaf Festival will be taking place in two days - finding the leaves is part one. Decorating the castle using them is part 2, which obviously could take some time. And what can be worse than a ruined party?
As he goes back to the castle, he hears some stomp-like sounds from a deeper part of the forest. He knows he should focus on collecting the leaves, but he can't just ignore that. He just KNOWS that someone needs his help. So he tried to find the place where the weird sounds are originating from......
Then, suddenly something flies to ground right in front of his eyes. It looks somewhat like a cat. Sure, cats are quite common, but ones that are flying at the ground at an amazing speed......in between half a second the cat jumps into the air. Where it was lying, there now is another creature. Everything just was too fast to see what was actually happening. Mario turned around because he heard another weird sound behind him, but it was too late: the other creature opened a portal, both the cat and Mario got sucked in it.
............
............Mario awakes, and finds himself inside a mansion. The same mansion as before? Doesn't matter, he has to get back to the castle. He goes outside and - what the? The whole mansion is floating on a platform in mid-air. I'm surely NOT going to find out if this is a dream by jumping down there, Mario thinks to himself. So he doesn't have a chance except going deeper inside the mansion......

That's it about the storyline of the game. I hope you already got somewhat interested in it now.
So, after 1 year of production and keeping the whole project a secret.......I am pround to present you Team Dimensional's newest project - Mario's Mansion!
The game is, as you can hardly miss, about Mario being sent off to the eastern forest to find golden leaves as decoration for the Leaf Festival of the Mushroom Kingdom.
While looking for them, he accidentally gets involved in a fight with two mysterious creatures.
.......and that's all I'm telling you right now. Note that both of the "creatures" will be mentioned in the videos, though.
About the game:
- An actual story that isn't "the princess got kidnapped".
- will feature a total of 11 areas (we're calling it areas, not worlds.), each being represented in 3 stories plus 4 areas in the secret story. Makes a total of 37 areas to explore. There are no levels, each area has a different gameplay length.
- Platformer RPG battle style like Super Paper Mario.
- Team Dimensional characters as partners.
- An opposing team to Team Dimensional.
- Not the typical boring RPG platformer. This game actually has something special to its gameplay, which will be announced when time comes. Though I can tell it's related to the big golden leaf and the partners.
- DOOFUSES.
Note that the demo release is set to somewhen that isn't in the near future. We're currently lacking members, (there's a total of 1 people working at the game actively, this person being me) so don't ask when the demo is going to be released. You can speed it up by helping us out, though.
Now I won't keep you waiting any longer and just show you the videos.
The Basement - Area 1 Part 1The Basement - Area 1 Part 2(Note that you most likely won't get what's going on in the cutscenes as it's related to the prestory)
Where's my demo?It exists, and it consists mostly of black squares.
