I would strongly suggest switching to another program (such as blender) if what you're using can't even support texture mappings beyond planar.

Already tried blender, and I find it overcomplicated.

also btw the program does sorta support cubic mapping but the models end up looking like this:

did you try running through the Blender Summer of Documentation tutorials? there are some really good ones there and i was able to learn the basics in like a day or two
