It hasn't made a difference yet. Is it meant to look normal at 11AM?

It correlates the lighting and color of the screen with the time of day.

Macbook Pro can adjust to the lighting of the room in general.

Or am I incorrect?

What?

The purpose for this program is to lessen eye strain by changing the colors of the monitor depending on the time of day. You see, a computer monitor is meant to be like the sun. However, whenever it's night time or you have just woken up, it is very likely not the time you want to be looking at the sun. It doesn't darken the screen or anything, it just uses warm colors at night for a nice and pleasing effect.

You're taking this pretty far.

All I'm saying is that my screen does the exact same thing, not by changing the color, but the tint of the pre-existing colors through the lighting.

ESSENTIALLY, it's the exact same thing, and it prevents eye strain and that weird "overglow" effect at night.

Thanks for clarifying that, viola. I surrender in defeat, and I may actually download this now.

@ Crashman: You were somewhat wrong about them being for different purposes. They are, as we both realized, completely different programs. However, they are in fact for the same purpose, and can work together to improve the effect.

I admit you were correct with your position however, so my bad.
