I would, except I'm pretty ticked off because it used to be a free mod for UT2k4

it reminds me a lot of Left4Dead, except 6 players instead of 4

which is why it has me interested, but I won't buy until I hear some reviews

I'll post a reply with my experiences as soon as I've played it, I found out some of my friends pre-purchased it as well so... I already got a team >D

Oh and guys, I've heard they want to do free weekends as well. So instead of watching some reviews you might as well wait and see if you like it.

oh boy oh boy

so how is it?

Yeah so I got it a few days ago.

It's an excellent game, although it actually isn't much like L4D. You're a lot less dependent on your teammates and you aren't really forced to go anywhere. You have to fight a much more mixed group of zombies (which are actually mutated clones led by a mutated mad scientist) rather than large groups of common infected with a few special zombies here and there. You also have a more diverse selection of weapons to choose from. Most of the enemies don't have one clear strategy for defeating them and at times a stategy that was effective in the past won't be so effective later. There's also the fact that if you're really tired of small teams, there are servers that put 40+ players against gigantic hordes of specimens, although you have to wait a while to play.

There's also the fact that the SDK was released just after the game was, and there are already quite a few custom maps.

Oh totally forgot to tell you guys about it!

Also, I really like the perk system. You can level your 'perks' to get better and better bonuses and stuff. I recommend staying with your team mates though, at the moment a fleshpound rages at you you will WANT to have team mates near you. Well... unless you're a level 4 support specialist like me and can solo these guys on normal difficulty. 8D
I have to say, the graphics are... nothing spectacular... but the gameplay is really awesome.
I'm playing it daily now and didn't get bored of it. I'll gladly help you out should you buy the game MechaB.
The variety in zombies is nice. Every zombie is a good enemy in some way.
For example the 'clot' is the standard footsoldier like zombie, he's weak but if he gets close he can grab you... and then you'll have to kill him to get loose, this can be a huge problem if there's a fleshpound or something like that running behind you. And your vision gets all blurry if you get hit by something, which is actually a good idea in my opinion.
Well... this game was much and much better than I originally thought.

I've been looking at videos of this and it looks rad, maybe in the future I'll buy it. I hope they give out a demo though, or did they do that already?


Also the stereotypical accent that the players speak with is hilarious.

There WILL be a mod which mutes the traders voice... hopefully

They generally only do that with official valve games
