Rules version 1.1Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen!
The last competition had no less than
11 participants! Is that a new record? I think so.
Congratulations also to the top five and the rest of you, the ?block competition brought some very creative minigames with it.
Of course, I won (lol) and MechaBowser got in a well deserved 2nd place. He was so close to winning that he helped me with setting up the topic of this MGC, and I'm sure that you'll like it.
It is a minigame competition that many of you have always been dreaming of, and a minigame competition that will hopefully engage many many members this time.
The topic?
Creativeness would describe it well.
You will have to work with a limited set of graphics.
This set of graphics will follow a few lines below, so stay tuned

So what are the rules of this Minigame Competition:
1) Only use graphics from the list below. Do not make your own graphics, do not use any other graphics. Only the ones on this list. These are graphics that were declined from being submitted to the main site, so use them with care and give them the love they deserve
2) No editing of the graphics (that includes resizing/recoloring etc.).Every single sprite you use has to be used exactly the way it is on the sprite sheet.
The crop-tool is the only one that is allowed, but only use it in a reasonable margin. (e.g. do not go and copypaste different pixels from various spritesheets to compose a new one, that would defeat the purpose)
Update: Mirroring and Flipping is also allowed.
Modifying the sprites in-game (rotation, scaling, etc.) is allowed, as long as you're not abusing these functions.3) You can use EVERYTHING that is on a spritesheet. That means you can not only use the actual sprites, but you can also use the font that has been used by the creators to fill empty space or whatever you like.
Heck, you could even use a portrait of Bill Cosby, should you find one on these sheets.
The whole sheets are your playfields, so be creative.
4) You are not allowed to team up with anybody. If you can not program, get yourself a free copy of GM7 and learn it. For what we're intending here, it should work. We're
not looking for masterpieces of programming, but for
creative use of sprites, and if you get yourself one tutorial, you should be able to slap at least something together, don't be afraid it's gonna be fun!
5) Don't be afraid!Your resources may be limited, but they are very varying. You might find the best stuff outside of the actual spritesheet. Go and find the stuff you need.
6) Everything that is not a matter of graphics (sound, for example) is free to use.7) The competition ends on Sunday, 14th of June... which is almost a month and should be enough to work with. (After all you don't have to make graphics yourself, lol!)
8) Do not like the rules? Detected a loophole? Not restrictive enough?Complain within the next 24 hours, to make sure the competition is fair.
The general topic though will not be changed.
9) The most important rule of them all:Have fun!Be creative. If you see loopholes, don't try to squeeze through.
You might find some sheets that were only declined because they were recolors or edits (and are therefore actually official sprites of good quality). Do not think you're "outsmarting the system" because lol, you only used these and make a normal game out of them.
In this case, I rely on the voting crowd. Vote for creativeness, not quality, ok?
