SO i found out some o my stuff was being used wrongly and was given no credit. Someone stole racerguy, and called them their own, and I also found out they stole a lot more of my hings from devart and used them. and credit was not given. I replied to it saying that they stole my art and sprites, gave no credit, and i proved it. Well someone responded and looked at my stuff and come to the final comment.

"We have this place on these forums called the hall of shame, and only members that have acceived 'Casual Member' status are alloweed to access it. In this 'hall of shame,' We post things that showed no effort to create." end quote

and the next part:
"but the creators' names have been crossed out, because, for most, it would be shameful to have everyone use the art and sprites.:

I am really put down about this and may stop the art for a while, this is just something that feels shot right through me. So until I regain my ever low confidence,

I actually doubted that it would happen, but here we go anyway =( Oh well, ignore that and continue. Obviously, when using the sprites in the game say clearly that you did NOT make the sprites, just in case someone like that comes again.

They were the ones with the walking animation which was just it's two feet sliding backwards and forwards. DKRF is now the final boss of my game.

He comes in and crys and makes all of the ****ty sprites go away and you fight him in a plain white room.

The original sprites still have to be recognizable. If you want to use 3D then do so if you want, it should work nicely.
When I say "abusing" I mean "do not use scaling to resize a sprite to 1x1 and draw a completely new sprite out of these or something in that direction.

So that means I could, say, scale something to half size so it actually fits on screen, then, or do a Mode 7 thing kinda like Mr. Mario... that helps! And I didn't even have to pester the thread with more questions... though now I wonder if tinting, fading or inverting is allowed(since I think physically recoloring things for a frozen enemy might be too much, and it'd be nice to have far background objects that don't look solid)

Not sure if I should do this, might give myself bad luck and cause myself to can it, but the showoff inside me means I can't help but show it!

I assume that single collision pixel on Mario isn't breaking the rules? It's a totally separate object from Mario, that flashes three colors, copied and pasted from sheets. I'm almost positive all three or so colors it flashes were from big hunks of background too.

Oh, and the background color is temporary... but still from a sheet too. I've made extra sure not to break rules here. At most I might add a small bit of "default system text" in the startup on a black background before the game starts that explains the source of the graphics, to make sure nobody gets mad because they couldn't read text that looks like some kind of blackmail font.
