Minigame Competition #47, Hall of...

Is text done with the default "String" type objects that use Windows fonts rather than graphics allowed? What about buttons? I just want to make sure before I start, I have a few ideas already...

If you have casual status, post it in the appropriate topic in the CCC (the HoS Sticky).
I will then decide if it is allowed or not, just to prevent people from "submitting" sprites just to take advantage of them.

As for graphics, only the graphics on the list are allowed.
You can, if you really really see no way out, use the default font of your program to draw text and use primitive drawing functions (draw line, draw rectangle, ...) but only in a very limited margin. Best would of course be to avoid them completely. Other fonts are not allowed. Buttons are not allowed.


EDIT:

Flipping and Mirroring (ingame as well as out of the game) is also allowed.

I took almost all of the libs and took the sprites out, then put them in a .zip file, submitted it, since it wasn't a "sprite sheet" they told me to make it one. I don't think that counts, you mean things that were declined for poor quality, right?.

He is talking about things that went onto this topic with reason. If what you want is not on there, it's not allowed.

But I found a quality Luigi in there.

Which was declined because the creator didn't put much effort in it. Which equals low quality.

You probably missed them. They are lots of sheets, so you maybe didn't click on yours.

If someone feels the urge to do it, then they're free to do so and I'll add the zip to the 1st post.

You don't have to make a decent game. THAT'S THE POINT.
Look in the Hall of Shame, someone made a game with these sprites already.
IT'S CRAP. STILL FUNNY AND ENJOYABLE.
That means BAD PROGRAMMING, HORRIBLE SOUNDS/MIDIS, NO LANDSCAPE ONLY GREY BACKGROUND and such bad factors.

Got it? Make a ****ty game.
