Minigame Competition #47, Hall of...

After this comp, the site sure is going to be filled with ****ed up games. I'd love to join this comp if I haven't given up minigame comps.

So we're supposed to make a LAWL LONGCATS CRAZINESS type of game?

BTW, for those of who want to put their entries for this one on the mainsite, you could probably switch out the sprites before submission, yeah?

So to clarify, this competition doesn't have a theme as such, any minigame goes, just can only use the graphics listed?

Yes!

Creativity wins. Obviously it would be easy to do a crappy platformer, but maybe you can come up with something that actually uses these graphics in an... artistic way... and make a good game.

Take Normal Super Mario Bros. or Super Mario Melatonin for example (although those are platformers) but you get the idea, perhaps?

I hint at looking at other genres, or maybe invent a new one. With these limitations recreating something that already exists should be harder than to come up with something completely new

Well my last game was bland so i'll have to think a little harder on this one =P

Meh, its going well so far.



Just need to sift through and find a graphic for the timer, anyone notice anything that might work?

When somebody mentioned this in the topic, I thought of it as a fantasy, far off, wonderful, but something that would never happen...

If I have time maybe even I'll enter this one.

Though I must admit it's more inspiring to make a crappy game with crappy sprites than a good game with crappy sprites. But we'll see.

By the way every single platformer that is just generic, but with these sprites added in, will disappoint me greatly.

And my vote counts for 10 in these things, so you should pay attention to me.

Bra every game in this thing is going to be crap.

The competition will basically come down to who can make the crap the funnest to roll around in and play "hot potato" with.

So... my starcraft-inspired game wouldn't fit then would it?

Are we allowed to use all of the sprites from the Submission forum that have been declined too?

No, only the ones from the list are allowed.

And by now, I think it would be kinda unfair to add new sheets to that list, as most people have already started.



Another note: Not the crappiest game wins, but the craziest (if you understand). I mean, of course you have to put effort in the game, but due to the limitations they can be wacky and senseless.

And what are we to use for music/sounds?
