Wanna Create A Game?, Spriter Select the Story, Online Play

I've been working on an engine for my fangame for what seems like years, and I'm planning on making something of it. I'm considering moving away from a fangame to a real original game.

I'm looking for a spriter who would like to have their story told. I do not plan on making a game for profit, although...

Anyway, here's what you will need to know:

• It's a 2D platform-brawler as its main genre (this can be changed)
• It must have a plot
• I would like to have the protagonist customizable in appearance . Or have multiple selectable protagonists.
• The game is set to be able to be shifted to online gameplay when it becomes operational. Online is working, just needing finetuning
• I would rather have original sprites than edits.
• It's being done in GameMaker 7 Pro, and engine work is by me.
• I want to work on this ASAP and have something to show at NCFC '09.

All those who wish to audition, post a single sprite of the protagonist (or basic customized character) with a small plot teaser. I hope to see some good ones.

I want too.. soo bad.

But I don't think I can sprite good enough.. or enough for the next NCFC.

I didn't mean that it had to be done by NCFC, just enough to show something at the event like demo or a gameplay video.

I've read your PM. I'm not sure if I leaning that way or not. But your story had given me an idea of something.

You start off as a warrior Goomba/Koopa/whatever who is viewed as a great defender of their village. Something happens that suddenly removes your character from time for year (temporal, frozen, whatever) and returns to learn that the village is now under Bowser's control and your friends and family are until his reign. You have a choice to either rise up the ranks of Bowser's army and fight the Mario Bros along side your old (and now older) friends... or stick to your morals and join the good guys against those who once called you Friend...

With a month pass without submissions since, I'm going to close this soon. I say the end of the month is reasonable. Until then, I'll be working on it as my own work.
