Okay, it's time to replace my mobo soon.

Rather, build a new system using the optical drive, video card, hard drive, and RAM from this one. I'm installing a new OS, as well.

Since my hard drive came with the system (which is a dell), there are certain dell things contained within, such as something called dellboot.exe and a dell folder.

I really don't want to reinstall every single program, so I pretty much need to use this drive. Would there be any problems in doing so?

Although you'll be able to boot into Windows from the same Hard drive, I'd personally recommend a reformat or fresh hard disk. You'll lose some of the performance gain from the fact you'll have a messy collection of drivers from two machines, and you may even need to reactivate windows. If you install a second hard drive or partition the exisiting one, you won't be able to run most ordinary programs without reinstalling, due to various missing registry settings.

What hazmeister said ^

You're only going to have to do it once and it'll probably save you having to do it later, so I'd format the HDD now. It's as good an opportunity as any to make a fresh start.

Back up anything important and just reformat, then install 7 RC if you're a cool bro. Install all of your new drivers, reinstall all of your old programs fresh, and you'll be fine.
