Mario Land: Minigame Mayhem, It's back

I have an idea for a minigame. It's called Pokey Pileup.

Think of it as Tetris, only your trying to stack the Pokeys as tall as possible.

There would be 4 types of falling Pokey bodies, and one Pokey in the middle. You must move the Pokey around then moving it, to stack the correct Pokey balls on to the Pokey. One wrong body and the Pokey falls over.

It's as simple as stack as high as possible.

That's a pretty good idea actually, but it kind of feels like it's missing something... not sure what though.

btw, if anyone has a Superstar Saga styled sprite of themselves i'd be open to putting you in the game somewhere.

Just wondering, how big is the file size?

Impossible to say at this point. The music doesn't take up much space because it's all SPC files, but the game itself is probably gonna be big.

There ARE no downloads.

You can't yet, the game is still being made.

Some progress is made... they're all WIP so they're a little bare and sketchy still but it's all good.

New minigame called... Thwomp Squish or something. Basically don't get squashed by the 4 thwompy dudes.



This one's kind of a sideshow alley game, basically you get 3 chances to hit the orbs with higher numbers as they move up and down. I might try make another 4 or 5 "sideshow alley" type games, simple random but could win prizes.



Pokey Pokin', basically the two cannons move up and down randomly and then one will shoot a bullet bill. You have to click a pokey segment to make the body from that segment up "jump" out of the way of the incoming bullet bill. It gets harder and faster, you get coins based on however many segments are left.

btw, now that youve worked on it a little more, how many minigames have you completed, and how many do you intend on making?

This question gets asked a lot. The real answer to how many i'll make is "I don't know", really ideally i'd like as many as I possibly can. I'm always getting ideas, not always GOOD ones but i've got plenty.

As for how many i've got either completed or very close to...

Somewhere around the 40 mark give or take.

Regrettably no! When the game went from being MFGG Land to Mario Land I had to take everyone and their text out.

STILL... if people had a character in M&L style and would be willing, i'd try to put 'em in somewhere, perhaps even hosting a game.

Just a small update showing a new building, the card pavilion. Basically you do card battles here against various opponents. Each one will hopefully have their own battle style which you can find out by talking around etc. Bowser, for example, might have more fire cards, and Luigi more grass. Some may only have a few cards, while others have a full deck of 12.

You might want to take away the shadow from the cannons, or placing it on the ground.

Are you going to make a shroob minigame?

Yeah i'm going to edit the cannons to make them non Bullet Bill cannons. As I said, they're still rough at the moment =P Engine before graphics and all that, but thanks =}

Well I dunno, if someone makes a Shroob M&L sprite and gives me a minigame idea then perhaps!

but didn't you use M&L PiT sprites for the Pokey in Pokey pileup?
