Amnesty

Maybe some of you guys already noticed, but there is only one member currently in the "trial member" group. And that is BS's test account.

Everyone else is now regular member.
Take it as a generous act of my inauguration, but don't expect this to happen again anytime soon. (And yes, BS approves of that).

I also hope the planned changes will increase the fun and lower the not-fun.

Be prepared to get some pm's from me everytime BS announces a change a don't like saying "OH MAN DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS? DID YOU SEE THIS?"

Yeah, BS thinks that deleting that account somehow made yours go bye-bye. I dunno.

As long as the current system is in place most probably. But not as a surprise backstab as some people here see it as, but with announcement and solid reasoning behind it if it has to.

When I was a moderator, I only banned if it really really had to be.
I think my ban history holds 2 entries. So from my point of view banning should be a very rare thing to happen.
One case in which I would and have banned is when people repeatedly commit the same offense and show no regrets whatsoever for what they have done. But I usually warn people verbally first.

This is just my own philosophy, but it only works as long as members do not try to "outsmart" it, which I think happened in the past and is the reason why we are where we are now.

The new system with trial members is just retarded.

Just stick with the damn ban system!


And rejecting members because they can't spell, what the hell? This system is more elitist and ridiculous than the casual member system. I guess it makes things easier for you, because you will end up dealing with less members... but at the same time you shouldn't be punishing us just to make things easier for yourself.
