There was a .gif posted on sfghq one time that showed dozens of pictures of the characters doing it numerous different times. It does happen that often.

-Concepts from M&L where it takes more than one character to solve a puzzle. Let's say, for example, we have a block moving across the screen with two characters standing opposite of one another. The two characters are assigned to their own button and when their button is pressed, they jump. The goal, of course, would be to jump and hit the block. Each time the block is hit, the player gets a coin and the block speeds up. If you miss, it leaves the screen and it's game over. That would make the goal to get as many coins as you can before the blocks speeds off the screen.

-TheRyo's sig also gave me an idea for a good fangame concept. A game based around the N-Spade cards from SMB3. ;P

How about the use of a Narrator in your game?
Thats what I'm doing in my 2004 remake of Yoshi's Adventure, going very slowly, though

In SMB and the Lost Levels, some sections of a level looped endlessly until you went down the correct pipe. That would be fun to see in fangames, or any platformer.
