I disagree... those are very Mario, especially the drugs!
Those hallucenogenic fuzzballs are great... but impossible to do in any Click program (unless you programmed an extension for that wavy screen effect).

I guess I should have mentioned all the Hammer Bros. variants, Dry Bones, and the SMB3 hand thing from World 8 by now.

That reminds me: Airships, multicolored Koopas, keys and keyholes, (probably mentioned already) Microgoombas, jumping Koopas with wings (see SMB1), Phanto.

Edit: Bullet Bills and spinjumping.

Little Platforms that somehow going along floating tracks in the sky.. they were always fun. Especially that bit at the end of a SMB3 level where you have to jump from a Floating Plaform, onto a Paratroopa and onot Flat Ground!

Cameo Appearences of Games and Characters... always cool. The Donkey Kong Barrel game was used in SMRPG and Mario and Luigi. That was pretty cool.

Different camera angles.
