Still in it's very early stages, but this is a game that's being created for the first comp over at gamejolt.
(Some of you should check it out, the winner gets a free steam game)
Anyway the theme of the competition was 'Shocking' so in my entry you control this little guy who runs on electricity, you have to get to the end of each level with at least some electricity left, but there are evil plugs and other enemies along the way who will drain you of your energy.
This is just the first level, and there is no score system or anything that will keep you entertained for more than 5 minutes.

The final version should have 9 nine levels, a boss, and online highscores(Yeah I know but still)

When i add the score system in you'll get points for how much energy you have left, time taken, deaths, and other things.

Well a score system has been added, and ianother one has been added after that which fixed a bug which calculated the score wrong.

I've also changed the graphics slightly so the main character doesnt have such a large head.

Also if anyone wants to post their scores feel free to do so.




A comment or two would be nice aswell you know.

Reminds me of a game I never got round to coding, where you played a cat in a warehouse who had to solve puzzles involving using the static electricity they'd built up to run machines.

Looks good, anyhow. Downloading now.

I think this is a good game. I also like the graphic style. :)

But you should put a warning telling players to raise the Brightness setting on their monitors, because it's hard to tell the background from the foreground otherwise.

Anyway v1.3 is out. It has the unfinished boss stage there, its the full level, but it still needs a few tweaks and a background.

I think that that glitch has been fixed now (I have't been able to get stuck in a wall during my tests, but then again it hardly ever happened to me)

It'll be re-uploaded when ive finished level 6

EDIT: you can get behind the boss as it comes down.

Well, I played it. It's very difficult but the concept is great. I got stuck to a staircase on one point, though, but couldn't reproduce it.

I liked how simple and fair it was when you first made it. Now it's pretty difficult, confusing and unfair to the player. Level 4 is just stupid and the boss uncalled for.

alright so version 1.6 is out.

- New collision code taken directly from Quest of a Mang, I haven't been able to get stuck in a wall since
(although it would be great if some people could help test this, seen as it seemed a pretty rare occurence)

-Level 4 changes
Layout slightly changed, you can now get out of the pit of lava after the 4th conveyor belt.
The part with the two 'Sawrs' is now gone, leaving only one Sawr and two 'Mynes'
One Myne has been removed from the end, leaving only two.

-Level 5 changes
-'Aggroll' rolls slightly faster, speed increased by 11%
-Layout changed
-All other enemies have been removed from the level, it seems they got in the way too much for some people.
-New camera added, that zooms in and out so that you can always see the boss
(I'd like some opinions on this, I'm not sure I like it)

-An unfinished level 6 has been added.

-New hazard - Rising lava.
-New Scenery - Tubes that suck you up.

-New Sound effects
-There is now a 'Walking' sound effect
-There is now a sound that plays when the Aggroll hits the floor

Btw, I'd suggest making the enemies a slightly softer red color. I understand that they should stick out, but they contrast with the rest too much.
