As most of you should probably know by now, ive been making a little minigame for a competition called Voltorometer, It was originally planned to be just a short, sweet platformer, but i have grown to love the concept and art style so much that I want to create a fully fledged game out of it, with better graphics.

So anyway, I started off by creating the title art, Although it doesn't have the 2 on it yet, as I'm still trying to decide what it should look like.

Obviously its still unfinished.

Anyway, This will probably be a very slow project, Voltorometer 1 still needs four more levels to be designed and QoaM will always be my main project, but it's nice to have something on the side for when i get bored of those.

Anyway C+C would be appreciated, I'll try to update this topic regularly seen as I'll probably be doing at least one sprite a day for it.

The outline on the top right hand side of the M looks kinda of sloppy.


It's really nice, but I feel something's missing from it. Maybe a background or something? It feels a litttle bit happy-go-lucky, I think it should feel a bit more...


intimidating?

@Fuzzy, yeah i like the idea of an enemy representing the 2, don't know if the plug is the best way to show it, but i'll try to think of other similar ideas.

@Fez:
Yeah it does abit, i'll fix it tommorow
It might feel abit 'happy-go-lucky' because its against a light greenbackground?, it will be against a dark grey in game.

So i had a quick go at making the title screen

It's still not finished but it looks pretty good when all the gears are totating.

Obvioiusly theres going to be a menu in the middle and other things.

Have the 2 rotate with the cog.

or have four cogs with parts of the two on them rotating in such a way that it makes the 2 every 2 turns.

Although actually the second idea wouldnt work, but i like the first
