Here's a little sneak peek of my compo entry:

http://willhostforfood.com/?Action=download&fileid=71359

Basically, it's going to be a puzzler where you bounce on walls to get to an end point, with things you have to do along the way (collecting coins, keys, etc).

To control, it's simple. Use the arrow keys. All of them.

For those who want to be boring and not have any fun at all and want to know every single way to use the arrow keys, here are the controls:
While in air, use the arrows to move slightly. Holding down makes you fall quite quickly. Once you hit a wall, you collect speed a lot quicker. Hold the arrow in the opposite direction of the wall to go away from it faster. Hold the arrows that move along the wall (left and right for the floor/ceiling, up and down for a vertical wall) to collect speed quickly.

Hopefully is much easier to control, and coins and keys have been added. Note that there won't be as many fans in the normal game. >_>

Anyways, is there anything I should improve upon before adding the puzzle elements and starting the level design?

A little difficult to control, but very unique, yes.

pretty much this. I found controlling him fairly frusterating.

Fairly is to put it nicely.

Apart from the inability to control Mario very well, i still think this is a good go, and an interesting concept.

Yeah, I was planning on decreasing the speeds to make it easier to control.

I've pretty much achieved this, although I'll add some more stuff before I post a new demo.

New demo in first post! Hopefully the control has been made a lot easier. Oh, and there won't be as many fans in the actual game; I was just adding those for testing and stuff. >_>

Also, you can press C to change the color of the level.

It's EXTREMELY hard to control. I can never get even close to the Top-Right Exit.

I suppose I should have designed a better level. >_>

I'll do that tomorrow.
