As I said before, it's A+++++ that Kritter and team are opening this up to us. It's great that a warning is given first. That is all great and I praise the team for doing that, but this thread (after the first few pages, anyway) is for discussion of it. It's good to have discussion!!

Yeah this doesn't add anything new to the discussion aside from evidence of some obvious anger issues. You seem to be the only person getting pissy about this, which isn't exactly mod-like behaviour :/

It's those folks who get topics locked. It sucks, to be sure, but it's a lot better than having a locked topic and a ban on anyone who tries to start a discussion of their own. Definitely better!

You haven't implemented the trolling rule in ages and quite frankly, MFGG has been fine without it. I find it funny how most of the better members make troll posts, I dunno, every 50-60 posts. That means in around 5 days you're ****ing banned.

Because for the most part, the topic had already been resolved and yet some of your fellow MFGGers are still griping as though the forum just turned into a dictatorship overnight.

And no, I'm not so much "pissy" as I am annoyed that the majority of this discussion should've ended pages ago as Kritter had already clarified what he was aiming at in the first post.

by definition, half of MFGG is more "troll" than the median, and for large populations the median tends to be close to the mean.

Well I'll be dammed - another inconsistency with the whole trolling definition? Looks like everyone is not on the same definition of trolling (whether they be right or not), which is another major problem. Let's check the rules:

If you're going to implement this, at least change the wording of the rule. According to this, as Lightning said, the actual ammount of trolls is very high.

People aren't allowed to argue any more?

Rating false information on the content of falseness isn't good either.

Seriously, it's not like you get banned instantly for every little piece of false information you post. Just when it's obvious in the eyes of those who have to judge it that the sole purpose of it is to enrage others.
