3/10, lrn2troll, and what it means to YOU

"green text quoting" is a thing that predates 4chan (and message board style quoting too)- it's just a different way to quote, I don't think the staff would just go and outright ban it.

I think what they mean is when people use that quoting style without a reply, or when they only reply to it with an image or image filename.

It depends, really. I used to quote two words (or ideas) from people's posts before and say "hey this doesn't make much sense"- but people have gotten so lazy with it it's just

I don't even see troll ratings used here often, but the >'s I often use for ease of quoting, really.

another thing that annoys me is: all unpopular opinions are trolls. This may not be true, but MFGG doesn't care.

People generally say this when they try to be funny and accuse other people of trolling because they have an unpopular opinion.

Well, more like don't act like general imageboard people.

-They have their own quoting system, the > method. We have our quoting method, the QUOTE tag. The only reason to use the > method is convenience. I understand the usage.
-They can attach one image to their posts. In these cases they use it to boost the value of their opinion. We can attach as many images as we want, but we can also talk like sensible human beings, not like the anonymous folks who can say anything without facing the consequences (I'd get banned if I said "You're wrong you stupid ****** ****** get the hell out" here, but not in, say, 7chan)
-They have their own memes. We have our 'fads'. And that's cool. No reasons to import teh funniehz from other imageboards to here. Original content is usually far more appealing to us MFGGers.

i understand what you're talking about if you just mean the obvious troll posts utilizing that, those have got to go.
