You may or may not remember the Mario Bros. Arcade Engine I was working on. I had lost the motivation to keep working on it, but lately I started picking it up again. I've fixed some bugs, changed a few things around, and added some new features(Goomba, seeing how many enemies are left to kill, the "floating" mechanic when you bump into the ceiling of a block, etc). It's summer, so I should have time to keep working on this.

The game is leaning towards the SMB3 Battle Mode style of gameplay.
The HUD will definitely be worked on. It's ugly right now. D:

Controls
Arrow Keys - Move
Shift/X - Jump
CTRL/Z - Run

Here's a little bit I whipped up for you guys to play. There are 8 enemies. The game ends when all enemies are defeated.

Great demo. I'm looking forward to the finished game laugh.gif

I do have to small suggestions:
-Raise the fps rate from 30 to 60 (gives a lot smoother game)
-You could perhaps replace the SMB3 sprites of Mario (everywhere I go, I hear that they are overused)

It's alright, plays smoothly, collision is clean. I do think that Mario jumps a little low, but I could be wrong. Do you plan to add in charged jump like in the Mario Advance games?

I have a suggestion.
Change the graphics. Im sick of seeing every other MFGG game with SMB3 graphics.

Oh and i found a glitch.
If you duck on top of the POW block, you get stuck in duck mode until you jump off.
