Why, Nintendo, why?, WHY?!?!?

What is WRONG with you, Nintendo? Don't you get it? Nobody wants all their video games to be family fun casual minigame thirdparty on a bun! Also grey white and blue just isn't cool! What happened to old Nintendo, when every Nintendo-made game had its own minisite with cool little minigames and widgets and doodads? What happened to your "Our games our fun, and different" motto? Party games just aren't good anymore. Mario Party is the only one that was really good. Now every single game is a party game! E3 held a few good games, but Gamecube had a gem all the time! I haven't bought a game for the Wii for a very long time, maybe even a year! It just isn't as appealing anymore.

Who agrees that Nintendo needs to get back to the swing of things and get back on top as the gaming giant?

Nintendo is on top as a gaming giant

Wii is one of the highest selling consoles right now, with DS/DSi as one of the highest selling portables

and Nintendo has always been casual

I haven't touched my wii since last year march.

it's either
a) i'm losing interest in gaming
b) crappy releases

however with e3 and all that fun, I saw some titles I may want to give a try. I hate to admit that my friend and MOTHER were right about how I shouldn't of bought a wii.

the wii is the first console to have 2 3D marios at once

not to mention you're getting a multiplayer mario platformer, mario and luigi 3, another Metroid game by the guys who made ninja gaiden and a host of other interesting titles

and pikmin 3 eventually

The only good games that have come out recently are the New Play Control! games which aren't new, they are just rereleases.

Punch Out doesn't exist, I suppose.

Mario and Luigi 3 is for DS, Pikmin 3 is gonna be good, and the new 3D marios and NSMB will be bright points. Maybe Nintendo is getting back to its good games.

Ugh I hate punchout, btw. I just don't like it. I mean thats personal preference but I guess that is a good new one since it is a return to an old series.

Yeah, I'm bored of my Wii games. I don't want to sell it, but I'm not using it at all and it's taking up space.

I wonder what has happened in my Animal Crossing, I haven't played it since March :3

Someone has clearly opted to voluntarily take a blind eye to any and all good games for Wii simply to whine that Nintendo has changed when it clearly hasn't?

Anyhoo The Conduit came out, like, yesterday, btw.

Clearly you're ignoring the wealth of excellent games that are many times awesomer than what can be found on the american ps3 and xbox360. No other consoles has such a quality third dev library. Sure, it got alot of **** but there's so many god damn gems in that ****pile you only seem to notice the **** instead of the wealth of literal nonstop gaming.

This is when I stopped reading. Do you know what the best-selling games are? Zelda? Mario? No. It's Brain Training and Nintendogs. This is exactly what people want.

I'm not sure how to communicate this, bar brutal honesty.

You do not know jack **** about the video game industry.

Plus, all us traditional gamers are still getting what we want one way or the other.

Sheesh, heaven forbid Nintendo's actually done something to keep them on-top again in the market (heads up: they haven't been on-top since the SNES days). And you're still getting new games in core franchises alongside the shovelware and casual games.

Also, don't knock the color scheme. It's actually pretty nice.

Personally I'm not to fond of it myself either.
