That's a perfectly fine reason to knock it, I think. The Wii looks similar to a crummy product that was over-hyped, expensive, and really has nothing going for it other than its devoted Macintosh fanbase (and people that don't know what else to buy).

Plus, purple's a cool colour, and the Gamecube was cool because it was a freaking box-shaped console you could pick up by a handle! Wii's just a trapezoidal white thing trying to be edgy and cool and "simple."

Colour scheme, mostly. And the shiny, simplified displays and all the unnecessary, overdone "prettiness" of it all.

I kinda agree with Mrs. Aforcer on the design.

Well, mainly the colors. Not to found of white to begin with.


The Wii really does not like near as awesome the GameCube. Also, how easy that thing was to carry was unbelievable.

Simple isn't always good though.

Never said that; however, I don't like things that are over-simplified as a gimmick for the sake of marketability.

Like I said, not fond of the interface either -- the home screen and all that jazz.

Also, presentation is pretty important despite what you claim.

you should be worrying about the games not the way the system looks.

I mean, look at the n64. that thing was ****in ugly.

Not fond of many of the games either.

It looks like something Macintosh designed for a game system, to put it simply. It's overly simplistic, full of stupid little gimmicks like "WiiVote," or what have you, everything's shiny and pretty and white, etc.

I just don't like it, end of story. There's nothing more to argue about.

Man, that Atari 2600 interface is bull****. I have to hit all the goddamn switches just to play the one version of Space Invaders that I want, out of the 112 different setups for it.

Besides, the Wii's interface was purposely designed to be overly simple so that an average person(read: NOT the average gamer) could use it adeptly with ease.
