Top-down view eliminates the purpose of Spy.

You may have noticed that one clip with the fog behind him.

Also Gang Garrison pulls it off well, allowing you to stab out of cloak. It takes way too long to be useful, but still.

if you can time it right it works pretty well

i've stabbed my share of scouts who don't know when to stop

I guess I just suck at timing, so I just usually wait for them to stand still.

It's not too bad, just stand away from the action towards their spawn and press it about a second or two before they get to where you are, most people just keep running straight into you.

There's actually a pretty nifty other tactic you can do, though:
1: Cloak and follow someone.
2: De-cloak and fire a few times.
3: Re-cloak and run.

It's incredibly unlikely that they'll turn around before you've gotten a few good shots into them, so it's really quite useful (especially when your team is trying to weaken a Heavy).

the only gripe I have with it is Infiltrators stabbing me while eating it
