Possible Super Mario Galaxy 2 Stories?

We all know that Bowser's not THAT persistent. He's never tried the exact same plan twice, with the exception of (New)Super Mario Bros 1-3, Mario World, and every other game that involved the usual "Capture the princess without any gimmicks". It might be an entirely new villain, who knows? What are your thoughts? All well and good, except Miyamoto doesn't have as direct a role in the series as he once did. Instead, the job of creating these big Mario games now lies with Yoshiaki Koizumi, who is at odds with his mentor's stance on plot.

"Mr. Koizumi is the type of person who, whenever we're working on a new Mario game, he always wants to bring more story elements into it, as he did with Super Mario Galaxy" Miyamoto says. "But in talking with him this time, he agrees and feels that with Galaxy 2, there won't be a need for as deep of a story".

Super Mario Galaxy really didn't have a story anyways.

And I thought they should have revealed Rosalina to be Peach (you never see them both at the same time).

While I don't think a huge and epic storyline with plottwists and whatnot is necessary for Mario, I do like some background story going instead of just having "Mario is somewhere and has to do something". At least "Bowser kidnaps Peach + seals doors in castle with magic + you need to get stars" so the game itself makes sense, if you get what I mean.

I mean, I doubt it's Bowser's seeing as all his ships are wooden flying boats, and out of nowhere comes this giant metal saucer shooting lasers that can cut through the earth like a hot knife through butter.
