Voltorometer 2, Large image(s)

Well, Voltorometer 1's time is up, sadly, it didn't win. but that's in the past now, and I can put my effort towards taking this small minigame, and turning it into a fully fledged game.



Voltorometer 2 is going to feature:

-Improved graphics
-An improved engine
-ALOT of new levels
-More features
-More enemies and bosses
-Powerups
-An actual storyline
-Original music
-A world map
-The original Voltorometer will be updated with the new graphics and the levels extended, It will be the first world, and will serve as the games 'tutorial world'
-Overall better level design

The game is still an early wip, theres a working menu and a test level.

I'll use this topic to post new info, demos, and concept art (unless that goes in the arts board in which case ill just post it there and link to it here)

One thing I didn't like about the first was the view, it was to small.

Like the graphics so far, and I loved those little cogs in the background, do more such things.

I assume the blue box is an empty HUD? Anyway, looks great so far!

Actually, thats just a water placeholder, the hud will be situated in the same place as the original, although it will look slightly different.

It looks horribly stretched.

Might want to set it to a particuler size.

in the first Voltorometer game, the controls suddenly dont work when you get to the stage with the rising lava

whats up with that?

Graphically, it looks a lot nicer than the original. Nice.

Pretty cool for an indie game

Again, it looks distorted and blurry, set it to a percentage as opposed to fitting a size.

The controls just stop working
you can no longer move or jump, so you just keep dieing
ive tried downloading it again and getting up to that level just to see if it was a one time thing, but it keeps happening

Other than the fuzzy electric bolts, the first one looks cooler.

Its called photobucket, it resizes images if they are too big. But I use it you can actually see the whole of the screen at once, anyway:

Unless you think that still looks blurry then idk.
but there will be an option to have it like this, if thats what you prefer.

I really don't get how this could happen, do you have any trouble with other gamemaker games? Because other than that, I have no clue what could be causing it.

Looking beautiful, man.

Of course, the first one will always have its own little charm though.

be careful with the dark pixels at the edges. they make the circle look like a lemon.

other than that, this looks really cool
gunna go play the first one right now

That last one is the best.

i agree that it does look the best, but running the game in windowed mode is just ugh.

anyway i started making the level icons for the map.


I think you all know who that is, everyone pretty much seems to hate him.




This time his body is going to rotate on its own while his face stays at that angle and moves around his body, if oyu get what i mean.
