Rarely IVs? IVs matter as much (if not more) than EVs do. They depict how the EV Training process will go. Anything lower than a 27 in an important stat just never cut it for me. In all other fields (not named Speed for slowballs like Snorlax, not named Attack for Sp. Attack nuthouses like Starmie or PoryZ, not named Sp. Attack for brawlers like Heracross and Medicham), I usually required at least a 20.
Regarding the whole Tier List, I never paid attention to that because:
A. I train alone and in secret. Only assistance that I required was from my old comrades at PokeCommunity, so if it was anything that I needed to know, I'd let them tell be because
B. I never liked Smogon (no we're not turning this into a WHY DOES ICEMAN3K HATE SMOGON discussion again)

okay man, you can go breed all you want. sure, high IVs are wanted in the best stats on a pokemon but the other IVs don't really matter.

I don't recall the "last" time that happened. Mind explaining? I won't draw it out or anything.

A. Breeding for powerhouses is what I lived to do. I was all about precision back in my Pokemon days.

B. Yep

Don't worry Iceman, I still have :horns:. You should start getting into the competitive scene again, especially with HeartGold/SoulSilver announced.

I don't care wut nun'y'all say. Blastoise is teh ****. Also, any who mentions Garchomp in anything that isn't relevent to "epic fail" is an idiot. Garchomp must die and rot in dark, steaming abyss of elite doom.

Starmie sucks.

In other words, you don't know how to properly counter a Garchomp.

I like quite a few OU pokemon so the whole "favored pokemon having weak stats" thing doesn't really apply to me.

I'm pretty sure that's because OU is tied to usage. If a majority of people on ShoddyBattle started using, say, Venomoth in OU battles for some reason it'd be boosted to OU despite not actually being that great.

Plus Smeargle is actually pretty darn good, since it has spore, can pass belly drums, etc
