i cant think of any item that would be useful for starmie in a 1 on 1 with another starmie except a focus sash or a choice scarf
and I obviously didnt have a choice scarf because you were faster than me

You could have had Choice Specs on or a Life Orb. I wouldn't know because your Starmie went down in one hit!

starmie cannot ohko another starmie without specs or orb

Defender HP: 261
Move Damage: 219 - 258
Damage: 83.91% - 98.85%

modest starmie without either item using thunderbolt on a starmie with no spdef or hp evs, neutral nature

Your Starmie sure couldn't OHKO my Starmie from what I was able to see of the battle, and since you stated it got paralyzed, it must've been able to live through an attack from your Starmie!
