I also much prefer the metric system. Everything is simpler when it's all multiples of ten and not 12 inches = 1 foot. 3 feet = one yard. 5280 feet = 1 mile. It makes conversion much more complicated than it needs to be.

Actually, yes, Celsius is more useful, since it has the freezing point of water at 0, and the boiling point of water at 100, and is much easier to convert into Kelvin, which is the temperature scale often used for scientific purposes.
