Ristar game update.........sorta

MFGG's resident collector Group: Members Posts: 944 Member No.: 5677 Joined: 5-September 08 Status: (0d)	you people may remember that Ristar game I announced a while back. Well turns out I announced that rather late on here. That game has been in the works for over two years now and I don't seem to be getting anywhere since I just can't figure out how to bring Ristar into 3d. So here are some ideas I developed over the time I've been working on this. any ideas you have would be great well here are the different things I tried first I tried just to make him fully in 3d with no changes to gameplay other than fully 3d that didn't work out it was still too linear so I tried 2d but with two tiers kinda like Tiara's gameplay was going to be in Sonic Xtreme that failed so I tried Fisheye and 360 world rotatation like Sonic Xtreme that ended badly So I tried linear 3d levels kinda like Crash Bandicoot that failed so now I am trying big 3d levels with missions and collectable items like Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Sunshine and a big hub world that is what I am currently trying so yeah. the Ristar project has become a nightmare because when my old computer crashed I lost the engine for the first idea I tried this project has gone through tons of different names too originally it was called Ristar 2 then Ristar's Quest Ristar's Adventure (current name) Ristar Twist Ristar Ringworlds Ristar and Feel Ristar Return of Greedy Ristar Revenge of Greedy Ristar Rise of Greedy Ristar Powered Up Ristar's Bad Day At one point I was going to rework it into a rated T or M game and make Ristar appeal to a more mature audeince that was what Ristar's Bad Day was going to be I canned that pretty quickly though so yeah any ideas you have would be nice. oh and I would show screens but this newest idea for the game just got started so that's why I didn't put it in main fangame discussion This post has been edited by cdiplayer on Jul 1 2009, 06:41 PM -------------------- 90% of teens today would commit suicide if they wouldn't be able to get the latest system on the console wars. I wonder why you never posted screenhots of that. I have my doubts this game is anywhere close to real or in production.

Well whenever I finally get something done that actually looks good I'll make sure to post a video/screenshot or whatever. I can assure you however that I am making it. Why would I bother posting all this if it wasn't ever real?
