So I was soft resetting for Azelf..., caught one, now needs a name/moveset!

Surprise! Group: Members Posts: 9317 Member No.: 180 Joined: 11-December 03 Status: (0d)	..and I catched this: IVs: 31 HP/30 ATK/26 DEF/5 SPATK/30 SPDEF/31 SPEED Jolly Nature ORGASM. However, I wanted a timid one. Unfortunately it is jolly, but I don't care since the IVs are godly and azelf has a decent physical movepool, so I am keeping it. It needs a name, and a moveset. Azelf's attack base stat and its special attack base stat are the same, with both at 125.

Even though that's a Smogon moveset, that's one of the worst choices for an Azelf. Especially with such a nice attack stat and IVs. I'd go with the Physical Choice set, with maybe a life orb instead.

but azelf doesnt have a very big physical movepool aside from explosion

plus it has 31 speed for easy taunting

I will just list the set here

-U-turn / Trick
-Zen Headbutt
-Explosion
-Ice Punch / Fire Punch

This provides some STAB with Zen Headbutt, and if he goes with a life orb on it fire punch or ice punch are both good choices for taking out many threats. Trick when it actually has choice band can piss your opponent off a ton, and U-Turn if it has life orb can help it hurt while switching out from many pokemon that can OHKO him but can't outrun it.

Honestly, it just seems like a better idea in general. Azelf's just too fragile to try and set up stuff.
