Strategy games should be somewhat simple, enough so that you can recognize what a unit is probably capable of. If anything, he said they looked too good. But most strategy games I play can not just be picked up and you'll know how to use the units. I had to actually look at the stats of both the pilots and the units, move them around as needed, and upgrade certain skills to complement the pilot's.
